Shortlisted for the 2018 Global Energy Awards, with more than 100 global patents; for this oxidative desulfurization technology, US Dept. of Energy Argonne National Laboratory has examined and validated the chemistry; Fluor Corporation, the largest engineering and construction company in the Fortune 500, has examined and validated the mass & energy balance; this technology has been tested by laboratory, pilot plant, and small-scale industrial system to verify its industrial feasibility.
Compared with the conventional Hydro-desulfurization (HDS) process used by refiners, out oxidative desulfurization technology has the advantages of low capital cost, low operating cost, low energy consumption, and wide range of applications, this system has treated twenty (20) different types of diesel and gasoline fuels including U.S. Navy JP-5 jet fuel, U.S. Marine F-75 diesel fuel, high sulfur kerosene, other middle distillates along with heavier fuels such as mazut, bunker and tire fuel pyrolysis oils. It is the first commercialized oxidative desulfurization technology ever.
Shandong 1stLine Clean Energy Technologies Co., Ltd., upon invitation, presented this oxidative desulfurization technology for pyrolysis oil treatment at China Waste Tire/Rubber Thermal Cracking Industry Exchange Seminar, as well as China "Industrial Carbon Neutral Industry Collaboration Center" Seminar, to actively promote the marketing of this technology.
At present, 1stLine has reached initial negotiation with a large petrochemical enterprise for the implementation of this technology.
